full of boxes, full of love.

These days we are up to our necks in boxes, preparing to make the move to our new home later this month. I am so looking forward to having this move over with - and my bones are excited to have a little studio space to myself once again!

I was a little bit concerned about the stress of all of this on the children, but Adelaide seems to be thrilled and excited, and she's been presenting me with the art to prove it!

Details of note:
- the waves of Trout Lake. We'll be close, but not THAT close.
- Addie and I hanging out in our backyard
- the big tree with a swing street-side
- ample street parking
- loads of love here in this place.

Trout Lake is a great location. We're not far off The Drive and we love being withing walking distance to just about everything. Such a great little community.

Welcome to East Van! Good luck with the move. We've moved often and find it helps to get the kids bedroom and ours set up soonest, so you have a calm familiar space to begin and end day - then just keep chipping away at the rest - maybe that will work for you

Good luck with the move. We went to stay with our friends who moved over to Wales (uk) recently. I was astounded to discover that their now 11 year old daughter, had virtually no recollection of the move that took place when she was 6. It only seems like yesterday to me but to her it is like a lifetime. She has also mastered the Welsh language and speaks it fluently - kids are so adaptable.

I love Adelaide's drawings. Color choice, visual weight, repetition and variation... She is an artist! I hope everything goes well with the moving. Good luck!

Best wishes with the move! We've packed up thrice now with kids - make sure to leave out some markers and stickers for Addie to use on the boxes once most everything is packed. She'll be in heaven, and you'll have the most lovely little drawings to surprise you as you unpack! - Megan

Children's drawings are so telling--and wonderful and lovely. I never cease to be amazed by the detail and thought they put into their drawings. That one is a keeper.

I hope you'll show us pictures of your new home once you get it all set up.

I am a HUGE fan of your "old" home. I cut the article out of Better Homes and Gardens and I save it in a file. When I need inspiration for my house I pull out the article and study the shades of blue you used on your walls and all the details of your home. I'm looking forward to being inspired by your new home.

Good luck getting settled. We moved last year and our 2-year-old daughter loved her new room and settled in on day 1. I hope it goes smoothly for you.
