love that girl

love by lovelydesign

Our house incredibly still and quiet when Adelaide is gone - too much so. It's funny how when Addie is with me, she often drives me crazy with her non-stop nammering and endless enthusiasm. There are moments when I think to myself "my goodness, my brain is going to EXPLODE if I don't have just a minute of quiet here!!!"

But then when Addie is gone - it's as though my heart stops. Listens. Waits.

The other day, I dropped Addie off at preschool and returned home with a sleeping baby strapped to my chest. The house once again was too still and empty, as I padded from room to room, trying to figure out what to try to get done. And then on her desk I found this...

Love that girl.

How lovely to find that sweet note. I know just how you feel. My house is too quiet now my big boy is at school. Part of me feels so sad.

I'm only an auntie, but I believe those quiet times are for letting things like love notes truly sink in. Blessings to you and yours.

What a sweet girl. I feel the same way about my daughter. Somedays she drives me crazy, but when she is not her I miss her so much and all the noise. She really makes our home "Alive".

Awe so sweet!

Keep that note forever, and show it to her when she is an adult. My Mom kept a note, I wrote when I was angery at her,....it went something like..."I do not like you mom I am ranning away!"
I'm 50 now, and my mom still has that note and shows her friends! Ah Life is so sweet! :0)
Blessings,
Rhonda

We share the same feeling about "brain explosion" but when they are not around, I do miss them, and for sure, they are the soul in our house and the ones who put color and happiness in our lives...
