One of my very favourite things to do is to treasure hunt. For some reason, I always seem to find the best treasures when visiting small towns... why this is I am not quite sure.
This summer while on one of our summer trips around Vancouver Island, I found and collected up a basket full of the sweetest vintage children's books. When I picked out this vintage children's dictionary, I really thought that it would be more for me then my kids. But I came downstairs the other day and found Adelaide flipping through it and writing out the words, one by one.
I really love it that my kid is a nerd. I am hoping this affliction (or at least a little of it) will stay with her throughout her life.

That is so cute!! I love that your kid is a nerd too - like my daughter. =)
Love finds like that - especially useful vintage finds!
My son is a nerd, and I hope it sticks. He LOVES reading, and I love that he does too.
I just made a post about vintage childrens books, great find.
I have been out all summer, I just saw you have a baby boy. He does have big bright eyes.
I thought the same thing once I was pregnant with my second, three boys later...you find your heart NEVER has a limit to it's capacity to love.
I really love this images and little tale. Cute find and cute little one!
Wow! This is so strange! Were by chance in Sidney or Brentwood Bay? A while ago I donated that book to our Thrift Store that has shops there!
How funny!

Well she is the cutest nerd I have ever seen!!
And I don't even think that defines a nerd..... I love finds like that too (I found an old fashioned bed with rope woven through holes in frame to support the mattress today - SWEET)!
I remember when I was a kid and of course I love to study all my books
