I've just realised that this Fall, my address file is turning 10 years old!
This little file has been a marvelous thing for me. I first made it for myself as I was growing frustrated with having to often toss out my traditional address books because the people I knew just kept moving all over the place. I wanted to create something that would be functional, long-lasting, classic, yet cute at the same time. I also wanted to do something with all of the stacks of vintage paper I had been hoarding, and an idea struck.
I often think of all of the marvelous people that I've met through my creations and how lucky I am to have them in my life. In celebration, I have made up 10 packs of my address file cards, as a giveaway for my lovely customers who have purchased an address file from me over the past decade. I have no idea how many - if any - of you are reading this, but I do hope so! (hopefully at least TEN of you!!!) Because I really would like to be able to thank you for your support.

Happy 10 years! :) I've been loving my address file. It's the only thing out on my desk aside from my laptop and cup of pens. It makes me happy to look at and I always love searching for a name! :) Ahh, it's the little things.

Oh I would love to win some more cards. Maybe then I wouldn't be such a miser with them. I just hate it when people move and I have to throw one away (really I don't I just stick a sticker on top but it doesn't look nearly as lovely). Happy Anniversary.

my husband gave me one of your address files before we were married as a 1 year dating anniversary gift...I love looking at it on my desk as a well crafted reminder and have loved updating address cards as friends and families move onto new and different adventures.

Congratulations on all those wonderful years! it made me stop and think about all the years of love my file has received - and all the changes. Years ago I switched it to my book files where I keep the names of all the books I own sorted by author. It's so precious to me!
I absolutely love my address file. I love the fact that the cards are portable - I find myself plucking out cards to bring on trips so I can send postcards to my loved ones. I even loved the address file so much that I bought a stack of new cards and used the file as my guest book at my wedding. The design is so simply perfect, I love to see it on my desk when I write.
Happy tenth anniversary! I bought mine about two years ago because I needed something that would stay with me through the years, unlike a address book which was getting used up a bit too quickly. And I have loved it ever since! It sits on my desk and I love even looking at it. Its also around the time when I discovered your blog and I have truly enjoyed reading your entries. I have a daughter who is three and many of the things that you say are close to my heart. I hope I will win(because I would love more of those index cards!!), but here I just want to say that I hope you keep making such beautiful things. You are very talented and a lovely mother, and its a joy to read every new entry of yours.

My address file -- which I bought maybe 6 years ago? 8? -- is only a finger's length away from my hand as I write this.
I too, am a paper-hoarder and the address file speaks to my habit.
I love to run my fingers through the file's tresses, just luxuriating in the different patterns...
It was a genius idea, Sharilyn. And thanks, too, to your Dad for pitching in on the fabrication in those early days when you got slammed with orders. It makes my file all the more dear to me.

Happy 10 Years! As a upcoming school-teacher, mine holds my classroom book collection by author - complete with ideas of how to incorporate the book - Love it!
I used my address file as our wedding guest book. I love having it on display in our living room and seeing notes from guests when I go to look up an address.
I coveted a friend's address file for a couple of years before receiving my very own as a gift! Just love it.
