in between days

Here are some photographs from these in between days..
The past little while I've been quite sick, and so Adelaide and I have been spending a lot of time cuddled up in bed together reading stories, doing activity books, and drawing pictures. I'm surprised and in awe of how well she has been handling me not being very well - Thank goodness she has reached an age where I can explain things to her, and that more and more she also enjoys time to herself.
As much as possible, I've also been trying to get as many orders together and out from my big shop run, a couple of weeks ago now (where did the time go?!). I appologise for any delays, but now I am almost done. Thank you to everyone - for ordering - and for your patience!

Our cats Jack and Elliot - of course - are thrilled with my lack of health and are extremely supportive of me staying home all day and being in bed for much of it.

They are also always supportive of my creative projects, offering companionship, monitering my progress, watching over of my work space, and offering me lovely photographic opportunities, too!

To me, cats make the best studio-mates.

I'm sorry you haven't been well! Booo. I had to laugh at the cat pics; I'd forgotten how they will lay in any kind of box no matter the size. I have great memories of my cat growing up and all the odd things I'd find him in.

I think everyone can relate to not feeling well and needing to take care of little ones still. I hope you continue to feel better and get stronger.

Also love the cat antics. They have high entertainment value!

Sending happy thoughts your way for a speedy recovery. Those little fuzz balls surely must help; I literally laughed out loud when I saw them! Laughter truly is the best medicine.

Wishing you feel well soon.
These pictures are adorable.

-i had the opportunity to be alone with my daughter for a few days while her brother was away and we sat in bed a little bit after breakfast and told stories each day. She calls me "a beautiful princess, her best friend, whole world and tells me she loves me all day long." I fall in love with her more each day

dying of the sweetness of your cats. And I hope you are feeling better now. No one should have to be sick during the summer--it just feels wrong.

Cats are the most wonderful company, they sit next to me as I am sewing and hide under the quilts I am quilting. Yours are so adorable, how funny when they squeeze into tiny places and spill over the edges. I wish you good health.

These photos are so cute! My cat always tries to fit herself into a box that's FAR too small for her. What is it with cats and boxes ... will we ever really know?

Your ginger cat must be related to our beautiful Benny, they look like twins. unfortunately Benny passed away this year and I miss him desperately sitting with me in my office. They really do make the best work companions. Gorgeous photos!

Your cat looks like my cat! Mine has a bit more gray on her nose but other than that almost exactly alike! :) What a sweet blog you have. I loved the post about your daughter's first day of preschool. Something I'll be writing about early next year.

New to your blog but have really been enjoying looking through your archives. I melt at the pics of your kitties because I can't help but take a ton of ours, Oscar. They are the best loungemates.

"To me, cats make the best studio-mates" ... I couldn't agree more. I never had a cat before Gary, but I can't imagine my life without cat anymore!
