just another day

It's a grey and dark and wet outside our window today and we are just beginning our day. Adelaide is moaning, I must get off the computer and find something new and interesting to do with her. It is just another day.

I just wanted to write and say hello, Tell you all a Thank-You! for visiting us here. And, I wonder: Where are you? What will you do today? What is the weather like outside your window? How does this make you feel?

I am hoping that our just-another-day may turn out to be a lovely and special one. And your day, too.

xox.

Your daughter is so cute. Love your blog, and I am excited about the monthly printable designs.
Here in Richmond, Va, it is cold and windy. Better than the snow that we are sick of!

Hi Sharilyn,
It is raining out my window too. I'm sitting at my computer at home where I work remotely for a company about 3 hours away in San Francisco.I have art supplies that I received in the mail yesterday sitting next to me...calling to me...but it will have to wait until after 5 pm and after dinner is made, dishes washed, some straightening is done...you know, I'm sure.

That picture of you and your daughter is adorable!

Happy Friday.

Hi! I love reading your blog, it really is lovely :) I'm in Ithaca, New York and outside my window today there are 27 inches of snow, all from the past 30 hours. I don't know what I'll do today - go into work if I can get out of my driveway - knit and study if I can't!

I'm all the way in Stuttgart, Germany...at the moment. I have a 3 yr. old so your chronicles are pertinent. I also have 2 older children (7, 10) whom I home school so my littlest is sometimes lost in the mix. She is the balance that makes us all take note and simmer down. She is my Libra.

Love the sweet duo pic. Moments are made of this. She seems abounding in glory.

Enjoy the sweet puddles of babyhood!!

What a lovely picture of the two of you! And I like your hair like this. In the few other pictures there are of you, it's usually shorter. That's cute, but I like this better. :)

I always go "OOO!!!" when my reader updates with a post from you.

To answer your questions, I'm near Chicago, IL, and though it's sunny there are piles of snow everywhere. The sun helps, but the snow makes me feel tired. I'm ready for spring!

I am in Montevideo in Uruguay and it is a glorious end of summer day (it is late in the afternoon here). I just got back from the grocery store and am sitting in my office feeling a beautiful cool breeze while my kids are playing with some friends who have come over and my wonderful housekeeper is cooking dinner (yes, I know, I know, I am very lucky!!). I love reading your blog - it always makes me feel peaceful inside and inspires me to be a better Mum (and 'maker').

My day is just now coming to an end and I would really love to go to bed. I still want to finish a quilt top though. The day here in Munich(Germany, Europe)was very sunny and bright and when I went outside this afternoon, a little breeze was playing with my hair. It was perfect!
Now it is dark and everyone is coming home from work. I can hear them chatting with their wives, kids, husbands in their apartements around ours. It makes me feel very much like being home. Actually the first time since I moved here over half a year ago :)
I feel happy, thank you for asking! I hope your day will bring little moments of happiness to you as well!

Lovin' your hair! I'm writing in from Westford, MA (just outside of Boston). It's been pouring rain and now it's spitting snow out. My 10 month old and I just got back from her first Kindermusik class and she LOVED it! I was worried how she'd react and she was a social butterfly! It was nice to get out of the house for once.

Hello! I love reading about the adventures you and Adelaide have. We have sunshine and about 40 degrees in St Louis, MO, much nicer than many other areas of the country. The sunshine has boosted my spirits and made me more energetic. After work, I plan to fire up the sewing machine and watch more Olympic coverage. I'm an Olympics junkie :)

These ordinary days are such a gift.

Hi there~

this is my first comment on your blog but I've been having a horrible day and just need to share/vent... My daughter has her second strep throat infection on three weeks(!) and removal of her tonsils, scheduled for next week might not be doable. I've been having an ongoing headdache since wednesday afternoon and not even pain killers are helping. Outside it is horibbly stormy which forces us to stay indoors.
Tomorrow is saturday which I am looking very forward to - my three kids will stay at home with their Dad in the morning while I will be shopping at the Farmer's Market and getting a quick caffein fix at my favorite local coffee spot!
I love your blog, the way you write and your parenting very much! Planning on finally ordering one of your address files in sping!
Take care, Valerie

The remaining twin was not keen to get cold, so she is in her purple fairy dress on the floor providing all the voices to a mini daytime soap opera involving unicorns, and a family of toys. She's enjoying the freedom to play without her sisters for just a little bit and in a short while we will go to the supermarket together. It's not often that the twins are apart. I can also hear something mechanical humming and ticking- the fridge, the clock, the dishwasher maybe, and the sun is shining ...I'd better get off the couch before I nod off!

Hello from San Francisco, CA! It's also dark, grey and very rainy here today. I have 2 year old twin girls and the house is quiet except for the rain drops falling on my windows. I wish I could spend the whole day creating and crafting. Enstead, I will fold laundry, cook, clean, clean and clean. It's amazing the mess two little ones can make.

I love your blog, reading your thoughts, looking at your photos and seeing all your beautiful creations. You have a beautiful family and way of writing about it.

Cheers!

Hello from Seattle, WA. I was sent your blog by a friend of mine who lives in Dallas, TX (where I used to live). She forwarded your Bird Birthday invites to me, because my daughter's nursery is decorated with a few bird things which I made (quilt from vintage fabrics, branch with fabric leaves and a few wooden birdhouses, bird flash cards from paper piecings, etc), and so she thought I might like your Birthday invites. And I did, so very much! Then I spent the next hour reading through your ideas section. Thank you for sharing so much of your process and your beautiful work. I'll be checking back again often for sure!

Now... I wonder where you are located...

I am from Illinois in the US. I saw you in Country Living I believe. I saw you and your family and that little girl is so beautiful.
I then saw your name and a website. I had to write I do genealogy and a cousin also has Wrights in their genealogy. Mine is Rueben Wright hers I do not remember and we are lost. I know this is for comments but am hoping.
