Wow-oh-wow! I love your workspace. I'm so envious. Mine is under construction and I can't wait. I have so many fun things to add to it but I have to be patient.
I especially love the storage that you have. Where did you get the matching tables and those white boxes in the top photo?
So inspiring Sharilyn!! What a wonderful tour and your space is so damn neat! I don't know how you do it. Ah, those Helmer cabinets are next on my shopping list too... and a little plant :) Thanks for starting my day off nicely!

Hi Everyone, thank you for visiting me and leaving a comment - they are so nice to receive, and i wish that all of you could come over and make things together!
Diane Faye Zerr: the industrial tables I picked up from my mom's work when they were downsizing. I have 5 (for $40 each) and they are fabulous! The white boxes under the table are from bigso box of sweden and I buy them at Chapters in Canada. You could probably google them to find some in your area. The white drawer boxes on top of the table are Ikea Helmer cabinets placed together.
Busy Vee + Carlene: The colour of my studio walls in Yarmouth Blue by Benjamin Moore. Its is a fantastic colour, but not the same as my old studio. It is similar, but a little more grey than the old colour, which I now have our bedroom walls painted.
Sandrine Deleuze: The fabric I covered the chair in is a newer one called "lollipop flowers" which i had purchased from Leslie Keatings goodness shop (no longer open i do not think) but you may be able to find some on etsy or elsewhere. The tape dispensers are all new - They are so handy if you use a lot of tape like i do, and I cannot resist them at $2 each from Daiso. They have the best tapes to fit in them too! http://www.daisojapan.com/ not sure if they sell them online right now, though.
Lynelle: most of my little drawers are a bit high for my daughter, but i do have several lower drawers. I also dedicated one drawer to her and filled it with toys, art supplies for her so she can have her own drawer to open and discover when she feels the need. I'm not sure, though, perhaps this will change but she isn't really into getting into my drawers. She knows whats in there i guess and it's not interesting to her when she has other things going on...
i forgot to mention that a carpet sweeper might be good for your studio. i absolutely love ours and since it uses no electricity it's quiet enough for anytime.

Hello! My name is Sharilyn, and together I live with my guy and our sweet girl + baby boy in a hundred-and-two-year-old cottage on the east side of Vancouver, Canada.
Long ago, I began a my own little company called lovelydesign. After many years (with a little luck and a lot of work) my own creations enabled me to make a small living doing what I love to do. But these days I am both a full-time mama and maker, and so I am creating my goods only infrequently.
I keep this blog as a record of all sorts of things which I'd like to try to keep with me for always.
