making patterns

Lately I've been making up lots of patterns. I'm had them printed on recycled card stock and cut them into cards as a way to make my address files more nice and more me. (Along with these, my files are still also filled with dozens of other pretty cards, hand-cut from recycled and repurposed papers.)

Here is my first set of card patterns - my goal is to be able to have a new collection every other season or so. I also really hope to start to begin to work with some of my favourite artists and creators to produce sets of their own designed cards - I am just working on the logistics of this, whirring around in my head and on scraps of paper!

spring/summer 2009 cards by you.

Over the years, through making my goods I have met so many amazing and wonderful people - I feel so amazingly lucky to somehow be surrounded by lovely souls. I have no idea if any of my past customers read this blog. I really hope so, because I really want to send some thank-you treats to at least some of you!

So, if you are one of my past customers and have one of my address files, please leave a comment. In a week or so I hope to be able to select some names that I can send a package of my newly designed cards to. I have three sets ready to go, but I can always make more!

+30 by you.

Hooray! I love your patterns! I also love my address file; I got it just before I gave birth in April! I've only put a few addresses in so far; I love to just flip through the papers when I have a quiet moment. :)

I have number 678.. dated Jan 12, 2006. I was working on a story at MS Weddings and you sent us a file, and everyone at the office wanted it. So I asked my mom to get me one for my birthday. Still one of my favorite gifts.

I'm a past and current customer! lovelydesign the is the perfect name for your creations! These card designs are such a great idea, and I love that you want to open it to other designers you know as well. I use my address file for inspirational notes and tidbits rather than for address storage, so I'll look forward to enhancing it with your beautiful cards!

I am a past customer and an avid reader of your blog. I love my maple address file, and I think the new card set you have created is absolutely charming. And of course, one can never have too many cards! I subscribe to many blogs, but yours is my favorite. I am not a mom (except to two house rabbits, which is not quite the same thing!), and I am not an artist (although I love, love, love art). I find your stories about your beautiful life creating, exploring, and loving with little Addie just enchanting. Thank you ever so much for sharing. Reading your writings is one of my favorite moments each day.

I am an early customer, I think. I sit here at my desk in Vermont, your address file at my elbow, enjoying it every day. It (you!) have inspired me to continue with my own paper projects.

I just got my address file and love it. I was originally going to use it as my guest book for my wedding, but I decided to just buy it and keep it for myself. I am working on filling it up. I still read your blog and love to see everything you create and write about.

Keep doing such a wonderful job. :)

I am a long-time client (books, stationery and such) but only just received an address file. It is already a treasured part of my desk/correspondence life. The patterns are so lovely, as is everything you do. Thanks so much for sharing it all with us. Also, Addie is just the best and most darling -- thanks for sharing all her stories too! I have a year-old boy and it has been so wonderful reading your posts about Addie. (and I super love her new 'do!)

Hi Sharilyn,
The design of your blog is so peaceful. I wonder if you wouldn't mind telling us what paint colors you have used in your home. The soft white and blue are perfect and I would love to try them in my own house...
Best wishes!

I absolutely love my address file, I purchased it several years ago and actually used it recently as the guest book at my wedding. It was a great treat and I love reading through the cards. It was especially appropriate because my husband and I moved quite soon after our wedding. I love the new designs!
